UTV DVE on end credits

On the end credits of tonight's Coronation Street, UTV managed (what appeared to be) a DVE squeeze... rather than just slapping on the usual Aston. But don't get too excited, they didn't play any video clips or anything.

Noticed that myself!

They must be trying to copy the ITV1 version.

Anyone noticed that the 'DVE' on ITV1 seems to be squashing the credits up a bit now, as well as moving them across?

What's "DVE" - a new term to me - but as for your point, I was thinking that too!

At the end of the Jeremy Kyle Show we just had daytime continuity complete with another new design for the ECP!!

Two new designs in the space of a week, UTV are going all out now!!

Daytime continuity? What? An announcement? During the day?

Yep! Gillian Porter did an announcement over the end credits of the Jeremy Kyle Show. She didn't hang about though, she was gone again by the time This Morning started! And the ECP menu hasn't made a reappearance yet either!

No announcement at 1:30pm either.

Here's a cap of the new evening ECP style being used on UTV. Not sure what happened to the one that was on screen this morning but it was different from this!

Well they used to, but they got lazy and now we get 'Now, Next, Later' with an announcer reading what's on screen.

There's something up with Scottish TV's ECP aswell. It squashes the credits and when it's going off screen, the background goes black while the text remains. Strange.
