UTV crashing in to programming

UTV have crashed into ITV's Evening News and also (badly) into tonights Emmerdale. Are they running slightly behind the rest of the network and getting the feeds at the wrong time.

Seemed odd, especially with Emmerdale. Oh and is it me or has the UTV DOG got lighter?

Teletext on Freesat also reverts to p888 (subtitles) and on S4/C to 889 (Welsh subtitles).

The ad break was bad too - they paused on a black screen for a while, then the first advert was frozen for a few seconds, and the last ad was cut off with a UTV breakbumper, and then an ITV1 bumper! Technical problems in NI tonight then?

Tends to happen a bit at Havoc House, usually it only affects the digital output and analogue isn't affected.

It often takes a few hours for them to sort out so expect potentially more problems later.

Wonder if Jules (or whoever is on duty) will apologise for the problems.

Slightly off topic, but I remember them on George Best's funeral day, showing the coverage, then a bit of chat, then 'joining' the network film part the way through!

(Admittedly, it was only the first half hour of the film they missed!)

The clean feed was intact last night - the problems were caused by late changes to network schedule that weren't communicated to UTV... Simple as that!
