To be honest, all the announcers at UTV sound p***ed off, and I couldn't blame them, they must feel like there's no point to their job anymore given they have to rely on a dirty feed from ITV Network Centre, and the only chance they have to announce is over the idents, if there's even enough time over the idents to make an announcement.
There must be a feeling among most of UTV's announcing team that the rug is slowly and surely being pulled under them. I'm surprised they have any morale at all the way they have been treated and sidelined.
Is there nothing UTV's presentation department can do to maintain and strengthen UTV's identity? How come only Julian Simmons gets to do regular IVC links? Can't the UTV servers delete some of the already over-repeated trailers to give the local announcers more scope to do their job properly? Will UTV ever take on new announcers again?
Do they really care?

Just when I think they can't get any worse. UTV crashed into Emmerdale, *after* the title sequence. A few seconds you could forgive them for...but this?!?! *And* they ran a trail before joining the programme.

Thank God for "Add Channels", even if it is a bit of a bother using it.
I think it's high time we had the option of adjoining ITV1 regions in the 900s, as elsewhere, eg. Border and Scottish.
More and more UTV resembles Hospital Television - well, a hospital case anyway.

Quite incredibly - even by their standards - this evening UTV managed to miss the sponsor credit, THE ENTIRE OPENING TITLES AND PART OF THE OPENING SCENE of tonight's Emmerdale. They went straight from a promo to the programme which had started approximately 45 seconds earlier.

Its a shame about whats happening at UTV, from what I see they have a potential to be a fantastic region, and the logo is quite good.

If UTV was played out just like ITV1 then it would be fine. They need to remember to have a breakbumper at every ad break, an ident before EVERY programme, and also make sure they have time for an ident and not just the first 3 seconds of one before cutting away to a programme (and if there is only time for a 3 second one, at least use a short version of an ident and not a long one which they always do. It looks a bloody mess cutting away before the long music has finished!)

Mmmmm - nice cut to the This Morning studio 10 seconds early... floor manager shouts "10 seconds".. quick cough and shuffle from Philip and a scratch of his mic... camera wobble and a cut to a UTV logo until the trail really started... so it seems there are SOME clean feeds available - unless the rest of the ITV network did the same...
