They said they had decided against making a bid. How easy is it to say that?
I decided I wouldn't climb Everest today - like UTV's "ambitious take-over coup", I never had any intention either.

I know - and they also own UTV Internet (which they plug often enough!) and have radio interests across the water, too.
But that has nothing to do with the non-story of their non-takeover of SMG, nor of their poor on-screen image and general crappyness.

UTV must be (by a mile) the worst ITV region! Remember the good old day of the 'new' UTV in early 1990's with the catchy theme tune. Everytime UTV come out of a network programme something goes wrong. Does anyone agree?

Yeah I seen the funfair this morning also, and the old UTV jingle will we see more of it?
Also see that Donegal is represented with some Beech thou UTV have used the Irish name ( Tra na ...... ) also thing i seen another Donegal one, and they both had water.
What next Carlingford Co.louth with more water or Dundalk Bay??
