How has no one at UTV managed to notice the disappearing birds in the background screens. They fly from one screen to another and vanish. I wouldn’t be surprised if they did notice but were to lazy to try and fix it.

Hopefully they'll iron things out - there's always something that needs tweaked after a new look goes live.

There hasn't been an upload of UTV on the catchup service on their website at all this week. I wonder why it has been dropped?

At least the loop on BBC Newsline is a little longer, but I can always spot the transition in the nighttime version as you can see car headlights on the bridge fade away and new headlights a bit behind them fade into view.
The loop on the middle screen doesn’t seem to be very long. I’ve noticed over the past few nights that every time the presenters are on screen a white van drives to the left behind the building, a bird flies along the water and then another white van drives to the right. Every time!

There hasn't been an upload of UTV on the catchup service on their website at all this week. I wonder why it has been dropped?
ITV plc stopped putting its full regional news programmes online in the last few years. Only individual report packages from therein are uploaded now.
On those rare occasions that a planned weekend regional bulletin has ended up being ditched from linear TV broadcast altogether due to over-running sport etc, at least some ITV plc regions tend to post their bulletin online (for 24 hours?) instead. That's the only time it happens.
Presumably, the grace period whereby full UTV Live programmes continued to be routinely posted online has now ended?

The black panels above and below the screens just about look okay for the post-10pm night time bulletin, though don't look great on other bulletins. It's a pity they couldn't replace these black panels with LED light boxes or similar, so that different colours could be used in the daytime/evening.
