UTV
Some sloppy pre-recorded announcements going out on UTV recently.

Gillians just told us "The latest news is coming up at 9 tonight...." over the 9pm ident!!!
Yesterday we had "The Metro a rail life back next week at 7:30" when it's not even on next week! (the NTA's awards are on).
Oh and Julian the other day announced "A Saturday afternoon edition of the Chase now".......on Sunday afternoon!

Are they under some time pressure or something to get all these recordings 'in the can', that the quality control is now well...out of control!?!?

Sounds pretty much like the UTV continuity of old to be honest.

Talking of which, there was a voiceover over the end credits of a programme the other day where the voiceover was too long, and continued over the breakbumper into the adverts.

Given that the voiceovers are pre-recorded, there's no reason why they can't get things like this right. They should have either made the voiceover shorter, or started it sooner once the end credits started.

More sloppy and contradictory announcements from UTV going out of Emmerdale.
Julian advising us 'Vera' is on at 8 o'clock right after an hour long episode of Coronation St coming up next.
7:30-8:00 must be the shortest hour long Corrie ever!

Why so many errors, so often, when its all pre-recorded??

Similar happened last week when Ant and Dec on ITV said there was an hour to go until SNT. The announcement went out at 5:00pm

If anything pre-recording probably invites more mistakes as they're just reading a series of links rather than concious of how the day is actually scheduled due to having to know when you're live links are.

Surprised though they're still clinging on to Julian though and haven't found someone better to do the links.

Even if it is pre-recorded, a person who is in charge of continuity/media planning should be watching over this. I don't get how these mistakes keep happening.
