UTV - From City Quays 2 onwards

Twice a day is the phrase you're looking for.


How have regional news ratings held up since it got the generic look? Didn't UTV have amongst the highest ITV regional news ratings in the country, so be interesting to see if anythings changed with a more generic look - though you could interpret that either way really.

In the old days Twice a day would have been the phrase to use, but I'm thinking Digital so timing may vary in your Region.

I wonder what Thursday's 7pm announcement will be? I'm hoping for one of the following:

"Hi there, what about yous, welcome to our Thursday night line up here on UTV where...

A - "Kerry takes drastic action..."
B - "Tracy forms a plan..."
C - "Amy is hopeful her ordeal is over..."

"...in Emmerdale."

Julian's announcement scripts are just as predictable and as repetitive as the ident loop.
I expect it will be suncream slapped on back ident too...or pigeons if there is a warning due to the content on this week's emmerdale....then from next week 7pm will be back to the usual bee keepers ident (due to ITV racing earlier in the day it pushes the ident playout out of the usual sync for this week)

As for 'UTV ident watch', pink flamingo's has just had its first outing this year. Been missing in action since the summer loop set started on 1st July.

That said, there's a new "true life documentary series" starting at 7.30... so we might just get a mention of that before "the first of our two visits to Emmerdale".

We might get the switch to Gillian announcing from the 7:30pm junction. The switch between Julian/Gillian is 'usually' Mondays and Thursdays at 7:30.

A - "Robert tries to persuade Aaron..."

C - "Kerry is called in by the police..."

"...in Emmerdale."

The whole personality of the station is gone. There is no creative control anymore. This is not UTV. This is now a poor subordinate of itv. It's sad to see.

Julian is the problem there, not ITV.

Right, is this some sort of contest now?
