Trailers have started airing for a new series of ‘Rewind with Julian’ starting on Tuesday 19th February and airing in the 7:30pm slot. From the clips in the trailer it seems to be a different format from the previous version but still using clips from the archive and still fronted by Julian Simmons. Notice that they've removed "UTV" from the programme name.

Wonder if that's part of the plan to phase out the UTV name, by gradually removing it from programme names?

Alternatively, they may have just wanted "with Julian" in the name, and thought that "UTV Rewind with Julian" was too much of a mouthful.

Obviously the plan is to drop the UTV brand that day, adopting the ITV identity, with Julian being the face of this rebranding exercise.....

Or as usual it’s just UTV not really putting much thought into regional output!

Have these been in use since January or are they a relatively recent thing? I noticed two of them on UTV during the ad break of Dancing on Ice last night but haven't seen them in use before.

They first appeared on network ITV two or three weeks ago.

Haven't seen anything like that on ITV in England. It's either UTV doing their own thing like BBC NI sometimes does, or it's new.

Any other fellow UTV viewers getting quite weary of the same idents being shown on loop!
The runners up and down the steps, the fat men running out the sea, kids on the seesaw, surfboard on the beach, welders, pigeons being released, new born baby....and the gymnast feet before the news.

Surely its not too much hard work for ITV playout to mix it up abit and show a wider mix of idents! I can accurately call out which ident its gonna be before a programme now and the running order loop the idents are played out in.

I prefered it when UTV had random shots of cows in fields and the like as idents!!
