Not 100% sure, but they aren't part of ITV plc so perhaps they didn't receive a copy of the font to use on screen.
Then again, Channel TV are not part of ITV plc but they seem to have the font and use the ITV Local News graphics package, so maybe they have been sent a copy by ITV but just decide they don't want to use it.

i think the UTV logo looks good as it is now and IMO wouldnt improve if UTV adopted the current itv font. look at stv, their pres is completely different from the current itv style.

Presentation has improved a lot this year on UTV - they have cut back on using Arial on their trailers, and they have taken the better parts of ITV's network promotions, yet at the same time, retained their own identity and managed to blend the network style nicely with their logo.
Shame they haven't brought back more in-vision continuity though, there's always next year, eh?

Presentation has improved a lot this year on UTV - they have cut back on using Arial on their trailers, and they have taken the better parts of ITV's network promotions, yet at the same time, retained their own identity and managed to blend the network style nicely with their logo.
Shame they haven't brought back more in-vision continuity though, there's always next year, eh?

It's strange because on this image (posted above)

It has the ITV font on the "Sponsored By" part - however the rest of the fonts (shown on images above) look like Arial and Century Gothic.
