Wel with request of Sky 1 NZ ident I finally have time to upload it nowall these images are the one whole ident and you go from left to right when looking at it.. Imagine it all moving slowly and you understand how it animates..
Well I quite like the start with the orange on black, and even the bue and white with the 3D '1' works well, the thing I don't like is when it goes to the full logo that doesn't look that great at all and sort of spoils it in a way.
Well!! Im gonna answer many or comment on alot of your comments...
4. Are you talking about the opening sequence with the music and titles?? I think is very good as with the music.. Theres something about the music I like
5. 3 News opening is Powerpoint quality and very poor. I dont like tv 3news very much and never have and most likely never will !
6. Prime news isnt to bad but the set is Sky News Australias and the opening titles are just rebranded to prime from Aussies Network Nine News.
7. Close-up --- Breakfast --- Headlines, will all come from a brand new set.. its the same set which has 3 Plasmas and for each different show it will be changed around,,, desks, chairs etc.. and for each show the set will be given its own identiy. They were rehersing yesterday.
Not sure about holmes' new show but dont really care cos I cant stand the short wee fulla!!
Oh well thats it from me now.... Signing Off!!!
Also Coming soon to this thread is the ident for Sky 1 NZ
Agree with your comments up till No.4
4. I used to really like it when it first began last year but it has come to really get on my nerves for some reason.
5. Neither do I usually as I can't stand Carol Hirchfield but Hilary & mike were on so I sometimes watch them, they really should have changed the whole opening sequence, bot just changed the colours and music (which has gne from bad to worse)
6. The opening titles are quite different from Channel Nine's ones but close to Sky News. Channel Nines opening titles are very good (see 1pm Prime) and the Today show is very good.
7. Do you work inside tvnz ? Also I like the look of the Close up ident which i only saw from the ads where they are talking about New Zealand.
Also, I have always really hated Sky 1's idents, they are very unprofessional and the music as BBCWorld2003 said is very 80's like.

--- Hahaha I cant say if I work at TVNZ !!
--- I do too like the today show its our NZ's Breakfast and Good Morning Put together basically.
--- Prime dosent have much of an opening sequence just what we see at the end of Nationl Nines News Sequence, but with Prime News and the 9 dots in a circle - I'll post 2 comparison pics tommorow.

-You can't say you don't either Just kidding
-Yeah but so much more professional than both of those two shows.
Peter Williams, I think is the best news reader in the country, then Oliver-Kerby and Petrie.
Can't wait to see new studios, should be good, if I wake up I will watch some of Breakfast.
I dont think Peter Williams is the best. I quite like Bernie, Wendy and Judy, but I find it hard to watch Wendy as her eyes look funny and I think she used to where glasses when she was a reporter but I havent got used to the fact that shes not wearing them anymore..
(One of my teachers is going out with Peter Williams sister and she used to live next door to my Grandparents house with her ex-husband!! lol)
Saw Breakfast this morning, music seems to be the same from last year, if I remember rightly, but the studio is so much better than last year and I think that Kay & Paul got on better than Ali & Paul did (maybe because Ali thought it was her show, wasn't too happy about new host?), the plasmas are really effective, except when they cut out at about 10 to 9 this morning. The studio seems a lot smaller and there wasn't much room to look straight ahead towards the camera with both hosts, (having to have the hosts look to the side which was effective in itself).
The One breakfast think was annoying in the corner as it seems a csort of cross between the One News stencil-like thing and the normal One mark.
Overall it was good, will see how they re-arrange the studio for Headliners.
----------------
edit: Headliners studio looks similar to last year except they ar closer to the wall, Close Up looks really good from what I saw of it, tey studio looks alright and most of the graphics seem quite good
----- Asd for old stumpy....
Paul Holmes' new show on Prime will be called just that - Paul Holmes.
Prime chief executive officer Chris Taylor says the channel is more than happy to trade on the personality of the man it poached from TVNZ.
"We are not going to be apologetic for personality and listen to this line they are towing about current affairs being reporter-driven and reporter-driven only. Television is entertainment."
The war for viewers begins in earnest on February 7, when Holmes, who left for Prime in November, goes head to head with his former colleague Susan Wood, whose Close Up @ 7 programme resumed last night after a summer break.
Mr Taylor said more than 30 people were working on the show.
A Prime spokeswoman said: "He [Holmes] is going to be out on the street talking to people. He would rather be out there than just being primped up in the make-up room and put there to read other reporters' stories."
