I quite like the paul Holmes logo, looks quite good IMO.
re:the set
from herald.co.nz:
"Since he stepped over the threshold, Prime's Albany premises have been transformed. The tins of rat poison that studded disused offices have gone. Now there's a state of the art recording studio, designed in part by Holmes himself. His guest will sit closer than on his old TVNZ Holmes show. The banks of lights that will bring this room alive, are the most flattering, and cool to sit under, that you can buy. There's all sorts of fancy equipment that will allow for what Holmes describes as a more interactive style."
I pick that there will be quite a bit of dark blue.

Sounds good.. and I hope its good too. My guess is that tv 3's current affairs set will by far be the cheapest just like everything else they have. Although I think they did spend alot on their current weather graphics package, the best around.

I really don't like the 3 weather package, it looks cheap. They seem to do most of the centres twice and it looks disjointed. One is best in my opinion.
More on the Holmes set: (from stuff.co.nz)
We mooched around the studio, with its glass columns and its horizontal bars. He began to rave. "Plenty of metal. It's urban. It's an urban landscape. It's evening. I had a long meeting with the designer; I explained the feeling I wanted. It's intimate. It's special. It's contemporary . . ."
We sat at the kidney-shaped desk. It certainly is intimate: Holmes will face his guests head-on, only inches apart. I felt something brush my knee. I asked: "Is that your leg?" He said: "Yes." Well, guests might be glad of the body warmth. The studio is as chilled as a meat locker: Holmes needs the thermostat kept low, because a side-effect of his prostate cancer treatment is that he heats up very quickly. ...
The monitors played a blast of some awful racket, which turned out to be the show's theme music. "Modern, isn't it," said Holmes. "We told the person when we commissioned it that the reference point was the theme music for Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.".
and more...
The Independent was given a sneak preview of the set - a contemporary industrial look dominated by shades of silver and blue.

Close Up has slipped by 31 per cent in the desired 24-54 age group compared with 2004, while Prime's ratings at 7pm have lifted. '
This is before Paul Holmes starts...Hogans Heroes going up, Close Up down. ,haha.

All I can say is wow. I loved it the set was close to perfect and the on-air graphics were really good as well, and the actual programme was very good in itself, except for the live cross they did to Selina Thereon at the tree, were she was yelling. I look forward to this programme developing as it has great potential.
