This one above is is blue but can be seen in 3 other colours that tv one use. (yellow, green and red)

These can all be seen in 4 colours that tv one use. (yellow, green, blue and red) Thi first one here is used at the end of and Ad for a programme to show which day, time and channel its on. The second one here is showen before the programme goes into an ad break. The third one is shown at and after six o'clock to show whats coming up for the night. and the last one is showen when a programme begins showen the rating if its AO or it has any info about the programme.

TV One News

This look started in June 2004. The reason for taking on this look is because it wanted to take on the look of the TVNZ brand.

TV 2
This has been the look for TV 2 since February 2004 these are used before the begining of a programme. The 2 Kids idents are used before Kids programmes.

The 1st one above is what you will see from 7pm onwards to show whats coming up for the evening and the other 3 are seen at the end to show what time, day and channel the programme is on. These can alos be seen in 3 other colours that TV2 use and they are blue, pink and purple.

Id ents, surely !

Being pedantic aside, I really like the current TV2 branding ... very simple but effective. Can't believe how similar the ONE branding is to a certain SKY ONE of a few years ago !

The C4 logo of 2002-2003 also looks strikingly familiar

This is the most striking similarity I can see!! (Image from TheTVRoom)

Those Two idents do look fab though.

The 2 looks like the BBC TWO 2

Channel 3 uses squares like itv1

They have a channel 4 just like us aswell

Do these bars below your tv 5 move in that box? thats how tv2 animate.
As I said it is very rare to see these idents now on tv2 as they have moved on two real captures of people doing things "In the Neighbourhood"

Similar to Sky One in the UK or Sky One here in New Zealand?

Channel three obviously use three squares for the fact that its tv "3" in the boxes is a silver fern which is very distinctive to New Zealand and NZers.

Channel 4 used to be tv4 but then were struggling to get viewers so they decided to rebrand and rename the channel to C4, a free to air music channel.

The answers no basically, they were static.

We don't have them anymore, as in September 2002 the channel was rebranded as 'five'.

The bars were part of promotion, and were used full screen and in shots for the first set of idents.
From the second set of idents, the different coloured bars individually animated onto the screen.

Throughout the Channel 5 period, the 5 colour strip was used as a break bumper that wiped across the screen between each advert.

I remember seeing this logo here before, but as a mock. You will have to move down the page to see what i mean, but in the case we have seen many times, that people are in fact ripping other peoples mocks, or in this case, an actual ident off.
