I think its nice, however it won't be long before we get bored of them. Also, for a brand set that is going to last 3 or so years, I would have liked something alot more exciting.

Actually my TV does that automatically depending on the format of the channel I'm watching prior to pressing TV Guide. As most channels I watch are now 16:9 that's the way I see the EPG. It looks more odd to me to see it in 4:3 when switching from a UKTV channel now. It does the same with the S&S Banner.

Oh OK, now you put it that way it makes sense, as my TV does the same. In fact, 4:3 doesn't work at all on my TV with RGB input, so I only ever see it in 16:9. The only reason I said is on first glace it looked too streched out on screen, but I don't see a problem with it now.

In fact my TV Capture gets more of the screen than I see on the TV, so it may look alittle more stretched anyway. I use RGB input on the Sky+ box, but it still automatically changes the ratio. What make of TV have you got Orry?

When are you placing the "high quality" clips on here (as promised earlier Very Happy ), I am dying to see them in better quality than on YouTube. They are growing on me, but I can't see the broadcast version because I cancelled "movies" in protest at the reduction of the service by 33% for the same price Crying or Very sad

You could always Email them to me Orry if they are too big to fit on here. I think you still have my Email addy, if not I can give it to you again! Laughing

Oh yes, I can arrage somewhere to upload them and then link to them here, so that is not a problem.

As for the TV thing, it's a Samsung one, I got it back in 2002, no idea if it's just my TV or all TV's of the same model. If I turn off the RGB button on my SCART switcher, 4:3 starts working perfectly, but the moment I turn it back on it switches back to 16:9 (but still says 4:3, and the zoom modes work as expected with RGB). It's not the switcher either, it's the same when the Sky+ box or DVD recorder are directly connected. It's just one of those things that I've got used to over the years, and now most programming I watch is 16:9, it's not a major problem.

Also, the fact the capture card gets more is because it captures the full thing, where as we all know TV's have overscan areas. It's the same with all cap cards, mine included, they don't cut it off.

The new idents are great! But as been said before, the music lets them down. Also why don't they use the official BBFC ratings logos instead of those 'copys'.

It's Sky's own ratings system isn't it? Always used to be

It is, which is why they always say " Sky has rated the following film as...". On most occasions, Sky's ratings are the same as BBFC's, but there are some movies where they are different.
