Is TMF about to be replaced by MTV's other European brand, VIVA?

Interesting. Wasn't TMF the Dutch brand and Viva the German brand, with MTV the global brand.

Quite surprised they haven't gone for the triangular VIVA logo they use on a lot of their channels across the continent. I've only ever seen VIVA Hungary (and that was a couple of years ago, before MTV launched there too) and it seemed quite an original channel, wasn't too much Pop on it. But I gather this is more of a name change than anything, can't see the MTV friendly content disappearing.

I always thought that logo looked more like it said VAVA.

Very true, but the logo has lasted, it's been around for as long as the channel I believe.

I quite like TMF as it is at the moment (with the MTV characters) but it will be nice to ring the changes though.

October 26th is the launch date, according to the website.
