For the last couple of days, Look North has been presented by Harry Gration and Cathy Killick, On Wednesday it was Cathy and Peter Levy

Today's '6' was presented by Fiona Bruce and Cathy Killick did anyone see the clock annoucement, was it a normal one?

Today, Calendar was presented by Mike Morris and Vicky Locklin, who was last seen on YTV knocking down a wall on 'The Real DIY Show', she also presents on 'Wellbeing' and has done a Calendar News bulletin before.

The clock 'This is BBC One in the North...' was voiced (probably live) by Ian White, presenter of the 10.25pm bulletin! Didn't sound as 'showy' as usual!

Ian White seems to do most of Look North's 'emergency' annoucements, such as 'Harry Gration in Valencia...'

Peter Levy did the 9am one last Friday morning.

I wonder if the London lot have been told to record loads of annoucements for the 6 clocks featuring Christa Ackroyd

Yes! I don't think he's that good an announcer, actually! (soz if you're reading, Ian, no offence!). I believe it was Alan Dedicoat who did the BBC North announcements originally, so he'll probably do the 'Christa' ones, too... although it'll be a while longer before she joins! Looking forward to seeing her at the BBC - without her, YTV are stuffed!

Not really.
Calendar will get Talbot back.
I doubt Calendar will suffer very much, if at all just because Christa has gone.
BBC North Cumbria and North East or whatever it's called now, did not suffer because Mike Neville defected to Tyne Tees.

Do you think Clare is not on Look North Leeds so much at the minute because she is preparing in Hull or are they just phasing her out?!
DY
DaveYorks
I wouldn't exactly say the BBC in Hull are that prepared, for her anyway! Have you seen the state of their studios?!
SN

Urm, no - I take it they're not finished then! Surely also it would be better to have the programme from Lincoln rather than the far north of the transmitter region?!
DY
DaveYorks
Lincoln isn't as big a city as Hull, and the BBC's studios there are even smaller! Hull's reception is stepping back into the 1980s... complete with old logos and decor, but it's easier and quicker for them to communicate with BBC Leeds, Sheffield and York from Hull, than from Lincoln!! I do feel sorry for people living in King's Lynn, though - they're nearer Norwich!

Yes, true - can people in King's Lynn not get another region - ie. is it in an overlap area?
