Having said that, I reckon there's a gameshow format in Tetris with physical pieces.
Already been done, albeit as a question/computer game variant in Belgium, this has apparently been on the air in some form or another since 1994:
Also what became Hole In The Wall apparently has roots to Tetris, and started as a segment on a Japanese TV show.
There is a real life version of Tetris floating around somewhere, except its time limited (by virtue of the fact a completed line can't just vanish since the pieces are whole) so its a case of "completing" it without leaving too many holes:
