Episode two: 790,100.

It's actually not a bad show, but in a perverse way I'm enjoying the fact that it's tanking.

In fact, Mediaguardian are now reporting that it lost out to Make Me A Supermodel!

And that last Friday was the worst performing Friday night for Channel Four since Christmas 1998.

Are you surprised? What an appalling Friday night line-up from Channel 4. They really are lost without a big US import.

And a UK comedy to hook in the viewers - orignal or repeat.

I'm loving Unanimous, but commercial sense would suggest they need to pull it and stick on repeats of Peter Kay or Father Ted.

Last year they seemed to have a wealth of new original content - and though nothing was a real break out hit, I do think Meet the Magoons, Spoons, Balls of Steel and Dirty Tricks were all worth recommissioning - especially as they recommissioned The IT Crowd a few months later.

But they were all bloody awful!

But bloody far superior to most of this autumn's offerings!

No, they were just as awful. Maybe CH4 will re-consider cutting back on American imports. Rolling Eyes

I doubt it though, they'll probably just conjure up another **** Big Brother spin-off to run in the Autumn.

That's actually what I'd like next year - but only next year with an All Star series to coincide with 25 years of C4.

As for US sitcoms - well, they just aren't there are they now. The only one worth the Friday night slot IMO is Scrubs, but C4 have never pushed it as their flagship US sitcom. My Name is Earl returns next year though, while C4 also have the rights to The Class - but I think that's been axed.

Have C4 aired the final series of Will and Grace yet?

No, that will be next year, probably airing from January. Channel 4 don't seem to care about Will and Grace though, and they probably won't be making a big deal out of the fact that it's the final series.

looks like Channel 4 are doing an ITV. They are moving both Unanimous and Goldplated to less exposed slots and scheduling a double bill of The Simpsons on a Friday.

I've never known Channel 4 do to something like that but I guess these are special cases. Especially since both shows were heavily advertised and both have not lived up to their expectations. It's simple though, Unanimous just doesn't work as a weekly show.

It's not the first time at all C4 have rescheduled under performing programmes - but unlike ITV I've never known them to completly dump a series without rescheduling it.

8pm is just as fine for me as 9pm - but the only problem is any adult content will have to be censored, but there hasn't been much really.

Also, it's been confirmed that C4 will be scheduling "Ugly Betty" on Friday nights next year, with The IT Crowd, Peep Show, Derren Brown, Balls of Steel and The Charlotte Church all returning - plus for the first few weeks they'll be the Celebrity Big Brother evictions.
