A MILLION POUNDS, NINE CONTESTANTS, ONE BUNKER AND ONLY ONE WAY OUT…
Nine diverse contestants who have never met before are isolated in an underground bunker for Channel 4’s brand-new Unanimous, a gameshow where strategy, cunning and deviousness are everything. Cut off from the outside world, the group will have no idea whether it is day or night. They must decide unanimously which one of them deserves a cash prize of one million pounds. And to make matters worse the clock is ticking… if the contestants can’t reach a Unanimous decision, the prize money starts to count down...

find out more

Channel 4 starting Friday 27th October 9.00pm

Unanimous: The Fallout - E4, starting Friday 27th October at 10.00pm

I thought that about Space Cadets - so I won't get my hopes up, but I agree, it looks good.

This did OK in the US, but seemingly only because it followed American Idol. they aren't making a second series.

Surely the answer to this is just to decide in the first 5 minutes on the agreement that they share the cash?

Clearly missing something here. Can't be that straightforward.

So it's just another reality crapfest then.

Yawn.

Vast majority on imdb seem to agree as well. The only reason it seems that anyone won at all on the US version was that they were forced into voting for someone or no money at all.

It's one of those programmes that sounds great on paper but the more you think about it the more you realise it can't possibly work properly.

I really can't see the interest in Reality TV programmes at the best of times. But this has to be the worst idea for a programme ever.

Who gives a damn who gets the Million quid?

I presume it's already been recorded then given the advert showing people in this bunker.

It appears they all select a name from a ball and roll this into the middle of the table...if all the ball say one name that person wins a million

I still don't see why they can't just agree to select one person and then split the money after the show has finished.

Very odd.

Yeah that's what I was trying to say a few posts up, but on reading my comment back it doesn't make much sense!! Laughing

Exactly, that is the answer. The only slight problem is working out who you can trust not to run away with all the money. Possibly a difficult task with reality contestants!

I suppose the theory is that greed will take over and people will want the whole prize rather than settling for a hundred grand or whatever. People are idiots.

Thousandth post, by the way. Hello!

I watched an episode of the US series back in April on FOX, and found it slow, boring and a difficult format to follow.

Hopefully, the trek across the Atlantic may help it. Hopes not high though.

On paper it sounds good, but i just dont know. Its a good job its live for 8 weeks, with streaming on E4.

Why dont they just unanimously decide for one person to take the million, and then share it out afterwards?
