but there could STILL lose them right, at the next Channel 3 franchise bids take place?

After digital switchover the idea of bidding to run a channel and paying millions for it, when any cowboy outfit can get one on Sky within weeks for thousands, is quite outdated

Looks like ITV should loose their 'I.'! They'd be just like the rest.

you made that post purely to get an unnecessary dot into it didn't you. Why don't you just p.i.s.s. o.f.f. ?

For goodness' sake, I just think that ITV isn't independent anymore. I think it has more than evolved in My opinion. I think it is becoming a different type of channel, as opposed to a channel made of contractors, to provide competent competition to the p.S.B, the BBC, and help form a second psb, and help 'root it in' in the eighties, and ninties. The idea of having regional contractors to regional programming, and to also provide internal competition. A competitor, with its own competition, brilliant. I just dont' think that it is independent television, and it is now just another type of commercial broadcaster, like I said, as opposed to the special type of commercial b roadcaster, taht I think it is supposed to be.

but do you think the original concept is still valid? The competition was within itself.

ITV was more like Sky, a platform for companies. Surely the other channels now competing with PLC which is the same? Just a thought

Why do you never address the questions put to you? He was referring to your extraneous punctuation - as many of us have.

With respect, Rob, you are never done talking about the corporate nature of ITV. We know it is a different animal to that which it was some years ago - but what exactly are you trying to acheive by constantly telling us what you think it should be like?

There is nothing we can do about it.
