The end is nigh!
BBC Two is the first to go - can we assume it'll be at 0020, after a timeshifted Later Live?
Come to think of it, do we have any members on here in NI who don't already work for BBC NI who can provide a recording?

I've heard a rumour that there may be a special programme to send off BBC One in a couple of weeks.

Yes, a simulcast I heard ?

Will the programme be shown on satellite for BBC 1 N1 and/or UTV ?

Excellent news. Should be a nice complement to 2003's "Window on the World" series; I'm sure I am safe to reveal that one contributor to that series has not taken part in this upcoming programme Wink

Have to say reading about the simulcast BBC One NI and UTV documentary has me a little excited to watch on satellite.

Cheers

Nice to hear both stations working together on what's a landmark for UK and Irish broadcasting.

I also hope Norn Iron ex-pats without Sky/Freesat might be able to watch the occasion live online...

I was looking forward to that programme until I read who the presenter was going to be.

Presumably if current scheduling patterns continue the final Pages from Ceefax on BBC Two will be in the early hours of Monday 22nd October, and the first airing of whatever replaces it would be the early hours of Saturday 27th.

Pages from Ceefax is generated 'offline', there's no reason it couldn't continue past DSO, even if it's just for a bit.

Ceefax certainly looks like it is surviving the chop for the moment if Digiguide's advanced listings are to be believed....
