UKTV Xmas Idents

Hi.

I briefly saw what appears to be a snowy background as a UK Style Xmas ident.

Also, the announcer said 'This is UK Style, part of the UKTV network' - I've never heard them reference UKTV before.

Are all UKTV channels using Xmas idents now?

(oh BTW, I soon changed channel - Bargain Hunt was on - Can't stand David Dickinson!!)

PlayUK were still showing their normal blue and pink idents when I was flicking around at about 2:30 this afternoon.

UK Gold are still using the usual ones. I wonder if they'll use the same ones as last year again.

The 'UKTV network' announcement is used quite a lot,sometime during Startups.

I suppose the UKTV announcement is generic, so can be used whenever they don't have the correct announcement or if it doesn't fit or whatever. If in doubt, just play that out. Wow! I should send that to Tim Westwood. Y'all.

Regarding David Dickinson: three letters. G - O - D. (A god that used far too much fake tan)

It's very rare that I watch UK Style to be honest, but I think you will find is that is a normal ident for UK Style. I'd imagine over Christmas they will feature various Christmas decarations around the house, like tinsel or something.

But as I said, I hardly ever watch the channel, so I could be wrong.

Normal UK Style idents feature 4 pannels with different images in them in the shape of the UK Style symbol.

It's the first time I've noticed that. I just thought they were 4 equal panels! Shows how attentive I am on idents!
