I'm sure they could buy whatever they want. But as the UKTV channels are 4:3 that's what they acquired.

It might well be that they have been sourcing 16:9 versions for a while of course.... just not showing them

its about time they start to make a transition I think, show the new stuff in widescreen, uk gold possibly could show their recent buys in widescreen with the rest in 4:3?
