If there was a decent regulator instead of OFCOM they might think anout putting in place some 'quality controls'. I know its not Sky's fault as they have to allow equal access but could they not place things like unlimited tv and so on in the other channels section?
Its now inclear if this new UKTV channel will launch on
Monday 21st Feb or Monday 21st March
. Looking at the TV listings for UKTV Style,
the channel doesnt seem to be showing any gardening programming from Monday 21st Feb onwards
- so im guessing that this is when UKTV Style Gardens will take over this programming. However, i could be wrong.........
They're launching ANOTHER UKTV channel? There's extended channel ranges, but this is taking it too far. It seems they won't stop until every programme genre from the former Style/Horizons camp ends up being bracketed into it's own channel.

Never mind Drama +1; start the original channel at about 5pm or 6pm rather than wasting transponder space on a +1.
UK Drama did start at 7PM until around 2003. It seems to be something of a shadow of it's former self now, there is nothing like the variety that used to be there.
I'm wondering if they're 'doing an ITV' by trying to cram too many channels onto each transponder. I've noticed the resolution of some of the +1 channels, especially G2+1 and Style+1, is really pĩss-poor.
Unlike ITV though, the channels in question just look rather soft-focus and blurry as opposed to ITV's going blocky at the first sign of any movement or detail.
UKTV Relocation
UKTV Meerkats
UKTV Soap Repeats
UKTV for Ice Cream Van Drivers
UKTV 'Open Wide' for dentists
UKTV Porn
UKTV Farming (repeats of Countryfile)
UKTV Witchducking
UKTV Butter
UKTV Spleens
UKTV Car Parks (sponsored by NCP)
UKTV Minicabbing
UKTV For God's Sake, Stop Inventing Ways to Clog up the EPG!
I'd be very worried if Katherine was Programme Controller for all these schedules as according to her list she has placed UKTV Porn bang in the middle of Open Wide and Farming. That might leave a nasty taste in viewers mouths!!!

UKTV Drama +1
is probably on the cards soon as well.
I repeat what I've said many times before.

Probably proof that there won't be a Drama +1. IIRC Drama used to start at 6 or 7pm, but now has been shoved back to 9/10pm, with the last programme finishing about 5am. It seems if they are going to offer a Drama channel they should at least put it on at a time they are likely to get viewers!
Unless this is a ruse by UKTV to get audience figures so low they can justify removing a channel they no longer want to run, in favour of UKTV Redesign Your Bathroom ... or some similar cheap alternative.

Hadn't heard you say it before Nick - but I completely agree. When UK Arena was on it started earlier didn't it?
I think UK Drama is consistently under-rated - it is one of my favourite UK TV channels, especially as there is a good chance that decent drama pops up on it rather than UK Gold these days.
I would love it if they started to run some of the single-play BBC drama (Screen One, Screen Two stranded stuff) as well as the stuff they currently run.
I've now taken to shoving loads of wishlists into my Tivo for series I'd like to see again, or I missed first time around, and UK TV Drama has come up trumps loads of times. (Sparkhouse just before Christmas was one - cracking stuff - nice updating of a classic - Wuthering Heights - into a contemporary storyline)
