UKTV name to return to on-screen branding

One problem they've had since making GOLD a comedy-only channel and having the other channels covering specific genres is that some of their own recently commissioned programming no longer fits with any of their channels, and haven't been shown since the rebranding. Maybe this new channel will rectify that.

Examples include Wogan now and then, Brucie's Generation Game now and then, and a similar series from a certain disgraced TV presenter which will definitely never be broadcast again!

To be honest, that could easily be rectified by turning Gold back in to an oldies station; it could still be 80% sitcoms.

And there was UKTV Bright Ideas which was a best of their original lifestyle output

To be honest, would that certain series be missed anyway?

Im more concerned about the missing TOTP performances presented by that particular presenter & one of his colleagues!

I'm not sure what kind of channel Yesterday is trying to be these days - I thought it was supposed to be a history channel, but it seems to be gradually morphing into UK Gold, with most of the afternoon and evening now taken up by Bergerac, Lovejoy, Butterflies and Last of the Summer Wine!

They could of advertise GOLD as one channel in two meaning gold as go on laugh daily and gold meaning classic .like " had your fill of laugh how bout vintage soap action at 6pm with classic eastenders "

Huh, they used to. Broadcast must've patched it. They did a half-assed job of it though if you can still get there from a Google search.

That just confuses things even more, there is a point to having thematic channels
