I'm getting quite fed up with 'Dave' repeating the same things over and over again;

- Never Mind The Buzzcocks (please show come classic ones as we've seen these newer ones 100s of times already)

- Have I Got News For You (show some older ones of these too please - newer ones are getting boring - shown too much)

VH1 show old Never Mind the Buzzcocks so they wouldn't be able to. UKTV Documentary (which is desperately in need of a rebrand having a name like that) shows older HIGNFYs

Dave, just like most similar channels shows a group of programmes for awhile and then moves on to something else. NMTB, QI and HIGNFY are flavour of the month at the moment (and there are new episodes on) but soon it'll be something diffrent (Alan Partridge for example)

Yeah I've seen Never Mind the Buzzcocks on TMF as well. MTV must have the repeat rights.

Richard and Judy's new UKTV home will be named Watch

Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan's new peaktime show is to air on a new multichannel TV service to be called Watch.

The new channel is part of the first phase of a rebranding of multichannel broadcaster UKTV's channels, which also sees UKTV Drama become crime station Alibi and UKTV Gold become just Gold and focus more tightly on comedy...

Watch is due to launch on October 7 in a prominent place on the electronic programme guide.

The new channel will also feature re-runs of top BBC shows such as Mistresses and Cranford.

I'm more likely to cast a glance at 'UK History' or 'UK Style' than I am at, for example 'Alibi' or 'Splash' or whatever they might come up with...

Spot-on with Alibi!

Alibi and Watch look surprisingly good but who knows how that Gold logo will work on screen. And I see Buzzy Bee have got their mits on yet another commission.

So "Gold" is actually "GOLD" - Go On Laugh Daily? Rolling Eyes

No chance of these making their way onto Freesat/Freeview then...

Give it a year and I wonder if any of the channels will rebrand back to having 'UKTV'.

Watch - Nice name, bad logo.

Alibi -?!?!

Sounds as though watch will become the main flagship channel. I wonder if it will be given UK Golds current slot with that moving elsewhere.

Truth be told I think the Gold name might have suited this channel better with them coming up with a new name for the comedy channel but I suppose they have the issue of people expecting to the same old sitcoms on UK Gold.

So we have:

UKTV G2 - Dave
UKTV Gold - Gold
UKTV Drama - Alibi
Watch - New channel

Alibi is a pretty decent name for UKTV Drama though I'm not sure on Watch at the moment.

For the other UKTV channels, how about:

UKTV History - Past
UKTV Food - Taste or Food
UKTV Style - Seen
UKTV Documentary - Docs or Documentary
UKTV Gardens - Gardens
UKTV People - Life
