OMG, what an awful set for Richard & Judy!! Very Jonathan Ross like in it's introduction....
That set is an assault on my senses!!! Shocked All I can make out is the ampersand and that's it. Yikes that is horrific!!

We need some pics, I must see this, horrific set.

Also, watch's idents are basically the Snowball BBC one Christmas ident with a eye and no snow.

Gold's ident is rather nice though.

That's exactly what I said about the Watch ident, it's just in the spirit of snowball. And people just give their money to Red Bee to recycle ideas!! Shocked

I've noticed that Dancing With The Stars is on Watch and that was on UK Gold. So if they could put that on Watch they can do the same with Neighbours.

Any caps of Richard and Judy - titles, graphics etc. Also, what was the programme like compared to the C4 version?

Richard & Judy is just.. I don't know.
I'm sure their careers going to be a total flop from here on!

The music is rubbish, the titles show R&J standing up and looking at big letters like 'R', '&', 'J'.

The set is bad. It looks very cramped, basically, a red background, weird arc's and circles in red and white plastic, and at the side is a big red '&' and Richard and Judy were stood at either side at the start. The sofas look like their from Argos.

Also, all guests are in a 'Bar' now Rolling Eyes

What sort of programme is it? Is it basically a lifestyle programme, and a relaunched version of their channel 4 show, or is it now simply a chat show? Do they have an audience? And does it seem like they're in the Channel 4 show studios?

Speaking of which, am I right in saying that the studios used by Cactus for their Channel 4 show were made for the programme?

Yes, it's basically a chat show. They're in the same studio. The set isn't that bad - the red just needs toning down and the horrid sofas need replacing. The bar however just comes across as a bit "Aren't we hip?" though.

It's worth noting they were written off after the debut of their Ch4 show too.

I can't imagine people tuning in for this new R&J show. It's one thing their usual brand of chat being put in front of you at teatime on terrestrial, but having to find it on digital TV during the evening when people expect a bit more is another thing

No that's Alibi +1. This is stupid how the main channels and their +1 channels are spaced so far apart. Why is that?

When Sky Digital launched each existing channel was given it's channel number according to it's popularity (according to audience figures on analogue satellite/cable) and these were spaced out in 3's - so Sky One went on 106, UK Gold on 109, Living on 112 etc. each new channel went in the next slot after the originals, in numerical order to be fair

The 2 positions after each channel were reserved for them - so UK Gold had 110 and 111 and then launched UK Gold+1 and UK Gold 2 (now Dave) etc.

With a few exceptions (and some shuffling up to close gaps) this hasn't changed much over the last 10 years, but what it does mean is that once UKTV used up their 2 EPG numbers they had to launch their next channel in the next available slot further up the line-up. Hence what is now Dave+1 ended up a long way from Dave.

The Virgin Media channel line up is a lot more logical, AIUI they don't need to be as strict over the ordering. Also as they own the channels that appear from 118 to 131 it's a lot easier to re-arrange them as they see fit - there aren't any third parties refusing to move!
