UKTV Rebrand and new channel

Can some one capture some idents?

Oh dear. I was watching G.O.L.D and they played out a continuity announcement for Watch instead.

I hope GOLD will show some classic sitcoms now instead of the usual re-runs of Porridge, Vicar of Dibley etc.

I would love to see Steptoe and Son, Dad's Army, Allo allo, Are You Being Served, etc along with the more modern comedy.

With the new launch will all the UKTV network be in digital widescreen or will we have to wait a bit longer to have some shows like My Family which are still in 14:9, to be in full widescreen?

I really like GOLD's new presentation. It's by far the best it has looked in years.

As i said once, can someone please cap some idents images?

Once a upon a time, when a new look came to a channel, people on this forum would always have screengrabs and video (page full of it) now... it's barely anything.

I thought there's always a delay in getting caps of DVB-S and Cable channels up since it's more difficult to get it onto a PC Asking twice in three hours on the same page isn't going to make it happen any faster if indeed anyone is going to the trouble.

I don't think it's that great, it's all right but to me Alibi has the best idents of the UKTV rebrand. Watch comes across like the BBC1 snowball ident but with an inflatable eye. I'm not impressed.



Looks like there are daytime and nightime idents for this channel.

Looks boring.

And here's the launch of Alibi, with a view of their equally awful DOG. It includes a trailer and the first ident.

Both Alibi and Watch seem to be using the phrase "Created for the BBC, chosen by Alibi (or Watch) " when introducing certain programmes.

Unless we're supposed to laugh at Neighbours in an ironic way, I can see no reason why it should be on GOLD.
