This site delay is starting to show how UKTV aren't putting alot of effort into the build up to Gee Oh El Dee. Ah well, better late then never... or better nev... oh whatever.
Listings for UKTV Gold (aka G.O.L.D.) are now available on Radio Times' website for 7th October onwards.
To be honest, the programmes look exactly the same to me.
I've seen the listings too, it's pretty much going to be the same except theres more comedy, all the Dramas are being moved to Alibi or Watch instead, although Neighbours is still staying on Gold in its early morning slot, which I presume means that Gold will be dropping it soon, as they're on 2007.
I've looked at Watch's schedule and it is just a mix of current BBC dramas and lifestyle plus Richard and Judy, nothing worthy at the moment.
How can a soap opera be on a channel whose name is Go On Laugh Daily?
I would like to see G.O.L.D. have more classic sitcoms which I love and grew up with. Seems UKTV Gold just recycle the same sitcoms. How many times have they shown My Family and Vicar of Dibley?
What about the classics like Steptoe and Son, Hancock's Half Hour and Dad's Army, Are You Being Served etc?
Does anyone know about the other channels - UKTV Food, UKTV Gardens etc? Will they just drop the UKTV prefix from them?
What is happening to Eastenders. Will it be moved to Watch? I have heard that The Bill will be moving to Watch.
So Watch will just be all the programmes which are not comedy that used to shown on UKTV Gold with some "new" programmes? Bit of an anticlimax for me. Watch should have some newer content.
Richard and Judy's New Position, I hope it does well, wonder if they will have a studio audience.
Also why launching on 7th October? Wouldn't Monday 6th October, start of the week been better?

Does it really matter? It's in a graveyard slot and will only be shown until the end of the run of episodes which were shown on the BBC (which will take GOLD until November), so it's only for a month or so. Hardly the cornerstone of their schedule.
And could we stick to referring to it as, "Gold" on this forum, as the whole "G.O.L.D." palaver is reminiscent of the dark days of Rob del Monte and his insufferable interrobangs (?!).

Richard and Judy's show on Mondays will usually be a compilation show from the previous week, so I suppose that's why they've decided to launch it all on a tuesday.
Well the launch date of the G.O.L.D site has been changed to the 3rd now, and has quite obviously been photoshopped ontop of the original image seeing the shading is completley different... sigh...

Not just the shading - the font! It goes from Arial Black to Verdana!
