When did Gold HD launch? Picture quality on old OFAH is a vast improvement! It’s about time we had Gold in HD.

Last Monday. Although some will lament the loss of Eden HD on Sky - GOLD HD is a well overdue addition to the Sky HD channel package.

NOW TV customers also get some benefit as the stream was upgraded to 720p.

Yep, and GOLD HD is more likely to gain better ratings compared to Eden HD, not to mention that the latter has a niche target audience.

Also, according to a source on CableForum - Virgin might not have Eden HD for much longer, gone probably by early next year. But take a pinch of salt with regards to this.
