I take it there is also no plans for any major rebranding any time soon? Dave is now nearly 7 years old ?

5 years: https://theident.gallery/dave-2014.php

It was the last look, which would mean there would might look next year at starting to rebrand. in 2022. But who knows.

Have the channel logos been updated on the Sky EPG? Nothing major, but they feel different.

Sky Go is showing that all of the channel logos (except Gold and Dave) in a rectangle. The actual logos remain the same.

The change to Drama’s logo in particular caught my eye:

I think it actually looks better and slightly less cheap than the regular logo.

So the rectangle logos are an attempt by UKTV to unify their brands to look the same in the logo style but still be uniquely different channels?

Nope, just a tidy up on the EPG. Nothing is changing OSP related.

Drama looks better but some of the other channels look very strange, W and Alibi in particular with their sliced logos. What is the point...

So you can make out the name of the channel rather than it being in an awkward round logo? Seems pretty obvious to me...

I see UKTV have reconfigured one of their satellite transponders (FEC change), with another 8Mbps of capacity now available. It seems that so far, the bitrates of some services has improved.

If it's so obvious, why do you think has it taken 10+ years to do it?

I'm guessing this update only affects Sky Q, which hasn't been around for that long, which is probably is why it's only happened now, given that these boxes have channel logos in the EPG (unlike non-Sky Q boxes, which don't).

The UKTV sections of catch up and box sets on my Sky+HD box have still got the old logos.

Looks like the Radio Times website has something similar too.
