UKTV People and UKTV Documentary presentation...

For the weekend of mothering Sunday, UK Style is becoming UK Mums. This will show programmes chosen by 'mums' (according to the UKStyle Newsletter), whether it be a favourite only fools and horses episode, or a favourite cookery show, they are showing them with on screen dedications that you can send in.

UKTV Mums has some OK programmes over the special weekend. Here's whats on. (Nothing chosen by the Mums from UK BrightIdeas - Not surprised!)

Looking at the listings, This is the type of 'mixed bag' channel that should have been on Freeview instead of UKTV BrightIdeas.

So are peoples messages to mums going to be scroling accross the bottom of the screen all day? I think so with maybe recorded ones in and out of a break.

Wow. A lot of decent programmes on UK Style for a change! Oh well I am glad My Family is on, the UK Gold repeats have been excellent.

Don't know if anyone has spotted it, but just seen the new logos for Style, Gold and Food on an add for TopUP TV on ITV2. Anyone else catch it?

The new UKTV Logos are growing on me from when I first saw them. I take it the dogs will be just like above on the screen then. I wonder if UKTV Decide to put their new dogs in colour? Are they stupid enough or is that not the sort of thing UKTV would do? I wonder what the idents will be like? UK Golds current idents would still look great with this logo. I think the UKTV G2 logo will look sh*t.

Also nice to see Teletext on Freeview changing the TV Guide channel names to UKTV History and UKTV Bright Ideas (nice to see Bright Ideas as two words instead of that silly Bright Ideas normal/Bold one word channel name that it currently is).

Teletext are always very fast at changing channel names. Its Freeview who are slow about it.

The UKTV Food website now sports the new logo, The UKTV Style website has yet to change...

Talking about UK G2, it would be silly to rename/rebrand it 'UKTV G2' when its only been around for a (my guess) 5 months.

The UKTV Bright Ideas logo has turned up on the uktv website...

EDIT: ALL the new logos are no online except documentary and people...

Was looking in the TV Guide today. Well we all know UKTV Documentory will be on the same channel number as UK Horizons on DSAT and Cable but as for UKTV People acording to the TV Guide it will be on:

Sky 566
NTL 809
Telewest 206

Not sure if these are 100% correct. Could someone check. If its right then it looks like UKTV dont have any plans for UKTV People+1 at anytime, as the Sky EPG is:

568 (Block of three empty which says to me a channel WAS here but now gone)

So maybe UKTV People should have got a new block of three and launched at 585 (with 586 and 587 for them to use in future).
