In other words, UKTV not being on the platform strengthened ITV's negotiating position?
Yes.
Virgin knows it can't afford to lose any other big channels (Channel 4 and Channel Five and their channels come to mind) without losing loads of subscribers.
According to tweets from TVPlayer, they're working hard with UKTV to remove the remaining device restrictions on Freesat, Windows 10 app, Amazon Fire TV etc in light of the continuing issues with Virgin. Roku was added this week as already reported.
I just have seen an electronic advertising board promoting a new series on alibi with it saying at the bottom about alibi no longer being on virgin media
I may be in the minority here...
But to be honest I'm not missing any of the UKTV channels.
I used to enjoy watching UK Gold back when it used to show classic shows such as EastEnders, Casualty, Neighbours etc.
However when it become a comedy channel and relied upon showing endless repeats of Only Fools and Horses day in day out was the moment they lost me as a viewer.
Can't say I've watched any of the other UKTV channels over the last few years either so the fallout between UKTV and Virgin has had zero effect on me.

Until recently, I would have said the same, but I was enjoying repeats of The Bill on Drama (especially the 80s episodes), Aussie dramas like A Place to Call Home and Doctor Doctor/The Heart Guy, and was really looking forward to the reruns of EastEnders starting next week.
I always recorded these, so it’s no great inconvenience to now have to use the UKTV app, except most programmes are only online for a few weeks, and sometimes I could fall months behind (so the option of recording them to keep was attractive. That’s what I’ll miss most).

I spotted one today too and was going to share it here but I was beaten to it!
