At least it didnt have the channel logo on, like the earlier examples.
I can't remember what they did back in the day, whether or not they'd generate the logo themselves rather than having it burnt on, but they might've contemplated the idea of a rebrand in the future where that UKTV logo wouldn't be in use anymore. Frankly, I'd much rather see these endboards than have Gold cut away mid-sentence to an ad break.
Do these slides pop up regularly or is it the case of "Blink and you'll miss it?"
More the latter, but even when they do, it can be "blink and you'll miss it" as if they got the timing slightly wrong, but like an episode of Bottom I saw, they held the slide up for a fair amount of time, and even came back from the break into the slide.
