I was watching BBC 2 at 8.55 (on NTL Digital) this morning then handed over to the regional news but there was no UK Today it was LDN for some reason. Then I checked News 24 and they were showing LDN too weird?

Are UK Today on a holiday or has this regional stuff started testing?

Or UK Today couldn't find another studio? (Well I don't know)

Someone said that UK TODAY was taking an Xmas Break.

So its LDN Today and I think Tommorow and also New Year's Day!

When does the changeover from UK Today to LDN happen?

Currently I can only get UK Today on News 24 and on BBC2 so that will mean we will not see NickyS anymore. Boo!

I think the grand day is January 15th.

21st I heard.

Fans of LDN can catch it on News24 Tomorrow and next Tuesday. Then it's back to UK today for two and a half weeks onlyhttp://web.ukonline.co.uk/tv.home/forum/emoticons/shocked.gif

Well, a network (Christmas) ident before BBC London News on BBC1 this evening! Just like the old days (pre-1985)!

I wonder if, when the regions appear on DSat, BBC London will revert to carrying a network ident, since it will be the default option.

Veering off-topic slightly, I'm surprised they're apparently still using the Christmas idents today, I'm sure even last year they disappeared after Boxing Day.

Right, I've just tried to see LDN on BBC1 in place of UK Today, but got UK Today, LDN nowhere to be seen.

Has something gone a bit wrong?

Strange - I was watching on Digital Terrestrial where we always get BBC London anyway, and when I saw the network ident I assumed it must have been going out nationwide on DSat. So did BBC London just get hold of a network Christmas ident then?

I think BBC London have chosen to use a normal network ident over Christmas - they haven't got a regional version by the look of things.

Also, I reckon the BBC are using Christmas idents over the New Year as well, because they are being featured on promos for new year programming. Bit unexpected, they seem rather festive this year!

Can anyone tell me why I couldn't receive LDN when I tried to see it on my digital BBC1 channel just now, and got UK Today instead?

Was it available on News 24 only, or News 24 and BBC1?

Yes, I saw UK Today on BBC ONE with old Gwenan earlier as well.

I think UK Today are playing today - but (as far as I can make out from this thread) you should see BBC London tomorrow and Tuesday.

Am I right?
