those of you who are more qualified on the subject might have an opinion!)

He will have spoofed that email address, as he's posting via an anonymous newsgroup service.
He has deep rooted delusions of grandeur and a touch of megalomania believing, as he does, that the conversation on the radio is directed at him.
In conclusion, he is "for real", but that reality is limited to him.

He's been around for years, sending the same posts to lots of newsgroups every so often. He advertised it in the back of Private Eye for a while too.
Obviously a deeply paranoid man, but telling him so just adds to the supposed conspiracy against him. He obviously really believes it all, but arguing with him is pointless, I don't think anyone on Usenet bothers to do so any more
..... His website is stupidly lame, he has a list of clips from TV and rates them on how likely it is that they are referring to him.
The thing is tho, he fails to understand that if he was really a problem to MI5/police they would have dealt with him long ago in other ways, not by getting every broadcaster in the land to "Laugh" at him onair.
Rather than finding it funny, I think it's actually incredibly sad.
We had a very similar case at a radio station I used to work for, where a listener would phone up and complain we were targeting him and somehow defaming him through both speech and messages in songs we were playing out.
In the same way, this guy was deadly serious about it. He even fabricated solicitors' letters and sent them to the station threatening legal action.
On one occasion, he came to reception and started complaining. He looked perfectly normal and sane. It was only from what he said that made you realise he was suffering some kind of paranoid schizophrenia.
The worst thing is as well that as far as they're concerned, it's totally real and not part of some kind of mental illness, and so they're unlikely to be able to receive any help unless they have a complete breakdown and get sectioned.
