Did anyone see UK Gold tonight (9/4/00 8:20pm)?
After Birds of a Feather the adverts began but shortly afterwards the screen went blank and then the technical fault screen appeared. A few minutes later they just cut to Keeping Up Appearances. During the break of Keeping Up Appearances the screen went blank again for no more than a minute before returning to the second part of the programme. By this time they were ahead of schedule because of the lack of adverts which is a pleasant change! . At 8:53 (apr) they ran loads of adverts and then two Simply The Best documentary : One Foot In the Grave and Men Behaving Badly. Also at one point it displayed the countdown clock or whatever you call it that displayed BBC and UK Tv and then 'Generic Clock!'
Do broadcasters loose money when things like this happen through loss of adverts?
