Fantastic news that Channel Four are not going to make us wait until January for Season Two, but instead we will be treated to Ugly Betty just two weeks after the Americans watch it.

It depends on how shows are scheduled. If they're scheduled in blocks in America, then channels like Channel 4 and Sky One can air them close to their US transmission. But if they're all over the place like Desperate Housewives (not sure how House is scheduled) then they have to wait until an appropriate time (usually January) so they can air it weekly without stopping for a break every so often.

Good news this is coming back so soon, but I'm still not a fan of this being scheduled on a Friday - still feels very much like a weekday show to me as it's not hugely funny for the traditional comedy slot - not more so than Desperate Housewives anyway

Unfortunately, it's probably quite unlikely we will.
I remember Six Feet Under used to have some stunning season promos that never reached here.

Then again, was it 4 Creative that often put on a nice show for the higher profile imports? (Lost, Desp Housewives etc.)
