Interesting how the scorebar is on the graphics there - and that screen just shows how it is high time they ditched the generic yellow logo for programme names. Surely they could now give the big events at least their own logo and just incorporate the BBC Sport logo somewhere.
The BBC also cut away from the live pictures very quickly tonight for studio analysis - even quicker than ITV would probably take a break. You'd think with them being in Salford they'd want to stay with the stadium atmosphere as long as possible.

I think the BBC are taking the international vision feed, which cuts pdq after the final whistle, for their match coverage, The only unilaterals being the 'Jake Humprhrey inserts'. There's no separate BBC Match coverage available to stay with.

I had to look up what pdq meant I assumed it was some technically term I wasn't familiar with. I'd assume the feed would at least stay on air for 10 second after the final score lower third disappears. They clearly have access to cameras at the stadium as they're shown on the screen in the studio they could have just cut to one of those.

They will stay there for a while, but they'd cut to a wide shot fairly quickly. Unless you're running graphics over them the overhead / back of the stand cameras will look very dull very quickly.
I think perhaps the ITV studio is more effective at the nighttime. Nice idea to do it from a café reminds me of James Richardson's fake Football Italia café for Bravo which was swiftly replaced.
Apologies in advance as I've probably missed this already but has any reason been given for the BBC not presenting on location?
I've assumed the reason was due to cost. If England progress to the quarters then I believe they are going to present on location -otherwise I suspect coverage will continue from Salford. Though would they want both the semi-final and final to be on location?
They certainly seem to be making the most out of the fact that they are there, using many different presentation points from that square in Warsaw. It certainly captures more of the atmosphere of the event.
Isn't the reason for the BBC's absence due to budget cuts ?
