The scorebar is nice and tidy.

Indeed, not intrusive like the Champions League or England international ones.

I imagine they're be a new package for the new season, ITV's seems a bit of a mish mash at the moment.

Which of course shall coincide with their Autumn rebranding exercise.

Think the opening titles are more imaginative then the BBC's and the graphics are impressive. Outdoor set reminds me of the BBC's one in Paris during France 98.

I wonder if they are rights holder if the BBC will use that studio again for the next Euros.

Small graphics seem to be the in thing at ITV Sport.

I know that contradicts the lower thirds.

Well, for my entire life I have thought the BBC cover Football better than ITV. On first impressions for this tournament - ITV look very, very good. The BBC meanwhile really look like for poor relative, not being out there makes an enormous difference.

ITV seem to have the most direction with their football coverage it has ever had. A great bundle of rights. A strong dedicated presenter and good secondary presenter and a solid set of pundits and a decent co-commentator for the first time since Big Ron left.

Only seen the titles on Youtube but personally prefer the BBC's effort - even though I wish they wouldn't keep using the titles as the promos for sporting events. ITV's I just find creepy and terrifying.

I like ITV's lower thirds as they're different - but also don't really like them at the same time - look like something from the 1980s. The scorebar doesn't seem to fit in with the look either, though it is better than the one they've been using recently.

Only have seen brief bits of the BBC and ITV studio - ITV's is nice enough though surely a window (with a pane of glass!) wouldn't break the bank. I like what the BBC have done with their studio but a shame nowadays I guess they don't do fakery to make it look like they're nearer to the action than they are. Also if they are going to have pitchside presenters and analysts as well as the studio team I doubt they're saving much in the long run.

Yes, would it not have been better to stick Lineker and co pitchside? It seems a totally acceptable way of doing sport coverage now. You'd have to pay a tiny bit more for flights for two extra pundits.

It was going all well for ITV until they introduced Twitter comments. Sorta cheapens it.

It's the sort of thing Channel 5 were doing 10 years ago. Just with emails.

The problem with that is you'll have the likes of the Daily Mail badgering on about how it's a 'waste of license fee payers money' when the Beeb reveal their costs and staff numbers at the end of the tournament.

I'm guessing they will pull all the stops for the Olympics.

But they'd probably just need to send an extra camera man and two extra pundits and then stick Jake in the Salford studio with a couple of pundits for any games the main team can't get to and the highlights.

There was talk of Lineker not renewing his contract before the rights for the Premier League were announced, if this was the case I suspect Jake would jump into the MOTD role. I can't see the BBC keeping any live F1 after the current deal runs out.

Looks to me like the ITV presentation is heaps better than that on the BBC. ITV's on-location studio (which is very BBC-esque) and the opening titles capture the atmosphere of the tournament much better - it actually feels like an event. Whereas it felt like a special of Match of the Day on the beeb.

Oh, and it annoys me how Jake Humphrey is shoe-horned into every BBC event these days. Rolling Eyes

Loving ITV's backdrop. I suspect the BBC didn't have an anchor studio because they didn't think they'd get any landmarks like Table Mountain or Brandenburg Gate as the backdrop but ITV have proved that an amazing backdrop can be created. However, Im not a fan of ITV's chairs. As Robbie Savage put it - why are they sitting on shreddies!
