The Euro 2012 Show on Eurosport is interesting. Some big name pundits, I'm guessing it's coming from France. The presenters and reporters are all working in English which seems to be a struggle for some, great set though.

They are owned by TF1 Group, so getting sport contacts would be seemless as TF1 also hold rights. Arsène Wenger for instance, is in Poland/Ukraine working for them as a co-commentator and I'd imagine he'll be happy to give his feedback in English. He's probably the best pundit in the tournament (outside of British coverage), speaks clear and acute.

Interesting that neither BBC or ITV are allowing viewers to see the closing ceremony - instead choosing to do studio waffle instead.

Although BBC are offering the choice to watch it on the red button.

That's because neither the BBC or ITV want people to turn ITV or the BBC on, I suspect.

BBC coverage far superior to that of ITV. Why did ITV not go to Kiev foe the final, they're 700 odd kilometers away from the action in Warsaw. People complained at the start of the tournament about BBC not being on location but at least their in the stadium at the final.

Presumably because they used up all the budget. Had the BBC been using a studio such as ITV's in the host nations, they'd almost certainly wouldn't have gone to the final If recent history is anything to go by.

Yes of course, let's not give the viewers the opportunity to see what they might want to watch !

This is Public Service Broadcasting eh ?

The CBBC commentary option on the Red Button is interesting. The lead commentator just referred to the competition as the 'UEFA Champions Trophy Final'.

Interesting take from the BBC, one of their audio options is commentary from the CBBC team, some of whom don't even have an interest in football. I listened to the first minute or so and they just seem to be messing about and chatting amongst themselves. I'm finding it pretty annoying but then I'm well out of their target audience, but I'm sure the kids will love it although will they get the opportunity to actually listen to it? Probably not.

They should run something similar to the mini-motty competition again.

Like, I assume, most people I am watching the final on BBC One and ITV1 at the same time (with the CBBC commentary at the moment). How come ITV's picture is so far behind the BBC picture? Even if I watch BBC One HD and ITV 1 SD, the BBC picture is still ahead of the ITV picture. Where is the delay coming from?

ITV1HD is behind BBC1 but still about 5 seconds ahead of ITV1SD which in itself is quite odd. There is only usually a delay of about 2-3 seconds and its usually the other way if I'm not mistaken. I'm also finding that the ITV1HD picture is slightly clearer than the BBC1HD picture which isn't usually the case?
