Also on Monday, I managed to get myself a white T-shirt with the official UEFA 2012 logo on from a sports shop in Bath. Not many places seem to do those, any idea why not? I'd have thought there'd be a high demand for T-shirts and other merchandise bearing the official UEFA 2012 logo.

What does this have to do with TV presentation?[/quote]
Absolutely nothing. Nonetheless it's still connected with Euro 2012, which is what this thread as a whole is about.

During the second half of the England v Ukraine match on Tuesday evening, The Ukrainian goal was disallowed for some reason. Certain people I've since spoken to reckon that should have been allowed. What do you think? I don't understand the rules, but from what I can remember the ball didn't go into the net. I don't think it landed even; someone kicked it away before it had chance to go fully into the net. Anyway, the referee disallowed the goal; evidently he felt it wasn't valid for some reason or other.

The rule is, all of the ball must go over all the line. And it clearly did. However a player was offside in the build up to that goal, which means it shouldn't have counted for other reasons.

I think this is in part due to the fact the media has been getting excited over the Olympics and the Euros have been very much an afterthought, that's probably another reasons the flags have only just started going up around England.

Further to the above, two years ago I posted this message asking where I could get a T-shirt bearing the official World Cup 2010 logo. I've noticed that for Euro 2004 and Euro 2008, as well as World Cup 2006 and World Cup 2010, I never saw any T-shirts bearing the official tournament logo in any shops anywhere in Bath or Bristol. Any reason why no-one seemed to want to stock them?

This time I was lucky to find somewhere selling T-shirts bearing the official Euro 2012 logo; the assistant who served me when paying said they were in two minds whether to stock those or not. Thankfully they did.

It sounds like they don't think they'd sell many. I guess the majority of fans would rather spend on merchandise relating to their team, rather than tournament as a whole.

Tonight on ITV1 clock stopped ticking on 45 min mark, this was despite there being 3 minutes of stoppage time. I looked away for a second and then a clockless scorebar had emerged in it's place.

It seems like they were having trouble keeping to the match clock. I noticed that when the UEFA score lower third came up, the clock was 20 seconds out at one point.

I wouldn't have said that was a major issue in football though. They took the score bar out for about 1 minute half way through the first half - I assumed that was the operator correcting the time. Maybe they couldn't get it right it was just precautionary to save misleading viewers.

It may be due to the fact the match 'started' when the stadium countdown finished with the ITV scoreboard appearing, the ref had not blown his whistle and so ordered for the kick-off again.

Does anybody know what the track is that ITV are using on the return from breaks as Chiles speaks over the images on the building?

Many thanks!

It's 'redemption days' by Josh Osho, or the instrumental of it.
