For curious fans who are wondering if a seventh series is in production, I have recieved the email from the BBC...

Thank you for your e-mail regarding 'Two Pints of Larger and a Packet of Crisps'.

I am delighted to tell you that the seventh series is due to air in the New Year, however, as yet we do not have any dates for the transmission.

Good job it wasn't axed after all. I love it!

Once upon a time I enjoyed it, but I'm fed up with it being shown to death on BBC 3.

I've stopped watching 3 now. Its a total waste of time.

Incidentally, did they really spell "lager" with an R, or was that an error on your part?

I must admit it does get repetitive seeing episodes back to back nearly every night.. thought I will watch them. Wink I think the new series may relieve the boredom by bringing new material from the channel's most watched comedy.

The "R" in Lagrer was in the email. Alot of emails I recieve concering a television programme usually have spelling mistakes.

This is great news!

i will definetly be watching. I was fearful that the programme had been axed, but, it hasn't (well, derr Embarassed!)!

I do think that BBC3 has adapted to the LIttle Britain demography, and started to steer away from the BBC Choice style of programming. I think one of the major veer-aways was when the 7 O'Clock News was axed.

I am very disapointed with the new 'next' banner. I hardly ever go to BBC3 anymore. I do have a 'Blobmate' on my computer though, and I love that, erm, yeah . . . back on to BBC3, I do wish that the presentation was like it was when it first launched, fun, but it controlled itself, in my opinion.

Two Pints... is a bit hit & miss for me at times. The BBC3 repeats have put me off of it & there are better comedies out there but there are also alot worse ones as well (Little Miss Jocelyn, T*tty Bang Bang).

BTW has Ideal finished or is there a new series being made? I have seen it once & found it a rather bizzare programme, even if Johnny Vegas was in it

Series Three began filming November 2006.

Thank goodness... I'd heard the new series was "unlikely".

I'd hate for it to have ended with that horror special!! Shocked

I think that was one of two possible reasons why people thought that was the final episode. The end of the horror special seemed as if it couldn't continue (as the end of a series usually continued into the following series). The second being that people thought that six was a nice amount of series'. But thankfully there's more to come!
