Two very good new idents - especially the space one.

On the BBC1 website, have they removed 2 other idents, as they had 8 on there to start with - and there's only 8 on there now (with the 2 new ones included)?

Edit: "Football" and "Windows" have been removed from the ident page - does this mean those are "retired" for a while?

Well I saw them a few days ago, just couldn't post anything about them...

I like forest but have always had mixed reaction to space.

I thought that Mission Control would be more popular than Magic Forest, but it's surprised me that on here more people prefer the Forest one. Maybe the BBC1 ident poll should be resurrected and we ask people to vote now.

No way, that's what Kites and Moon idents are for, Kites for 1, 6 & weekend/public holidays - morning/afternoon & Moon for 10, News 24 & weekend/public holidays evening .

In the north west region kites is used for the 10 as well!

I think they're both great and very creative which is a surprise for BBC 1!

I would have to say my favourite one is Mission Control simply for the fact that like Ch 4's idents, it doesn't look like an ident until the end.

10 out of 10!

I like them both. Forest is very versitile, could be used at almost any junction, but I imagine Space will be for dramatic programmes.

They are excellent additions, and I'm not sad to see Footballers retired/shelved as I never liked that one and it seemed to be rarely used anyway.

BBC One has well and truly buried the bad era of the Dancers and returned to an image they can be quite proud of.
