Well this is very old news isn't it. The TVS DVD about ATV Centre has been discussed for a long time on various locations, including Tiswas Online, the ATV Website and Crossroads Appreciation Society.

I'm sure we'll be seeing a few TVS programmes in the future. As for it being in the North. Tyne Tees currently airs from London - as do most of the "regions."

'Old' it may be, but we don't all worship at the ATV table! As for Tyne Tees, it is broadcast from Leeds (as is YTV, Central, Granada, Border and STV on occassions).

Depends on how you define "broadcast" really -- presentation is done from London, transmission is farmed out to a third party, all Leeds really do is have a computer flick a switch every 15 minutes for the ads (and they don't even seem to be able to get that right sometimes).

To say that TTTV is broadcast from Leeds is a bit like saying that Channel 4 was broadcast from (among other places) Carlisle in the 1980s!

I like the music they used to use from TVS What they used to play to start up each morning and also the main news theme Coast to Coast fitted nicely with the ident.

Out of interest did any other regions or companies have an ident that fitted in like this into their programmes?

I was also thinking about the name and how it's TVS, whereas if TSW could have called themselves TVSW... guess it doesn't have the same ring to it and neither does TS on it's own either.

Quality MP3s there! Very Happy Ed Welch ruled the 1980s theme tune.

They broadcast the adverts from Leeds, Continuity certainly isn't. As has been stated. Also its not just "ATV" places that have discussed TVS, that other big forum of a Digital nature have too.

I don't see any harm in things like TVS or TV-am being revived as a brand - its a brand people may remember and are no use to ITV.

Its a bit like Thames in some ways - yes they've never gone away, but they're certainly not the same company that left ITV in 1992.

The only other ITV brand which is still not owned by anyone but is well like would have been TSW:

( Central does not count as it still going, although under ITV name)

I STILL wonder how most of Ed work is available on MP3 expect Blockbuster!
which HE even doesn't have a copy of !

I have the full theme to Blockbusters - although saying that, I don't think its an MP3 file.

It must be out there somewhere - BBC Radio Newcastle were using a long version of it approx 3-4 minutes long as a bed for one of their competitions last year.

is it the KMP version though or the Central mix? The KPM version is easily obtanable, however the Central mix has managed to ellude everyone for years.
