I live in Wilmslow, so Manchester is only 20 minutes on the train and the BBC in Salford also also well connected from the city centre. Lots of good pubs there as well to have a pint over oneness.

I live in North Manchester. I am interested in this. It depends on when and where.
I live near Bury, about 20 mins away from the city centre on the tram. The Printworks might be a good venue to start from. Who wants to arrange tickets for a TV studio audience recording at MediaCity, when we know how many of us are going?
Is this when I discover that a goodly portion of TVForumers are actually based in or near Manchester?
That or have an anti London sentiment.
I don't know about any anti-London sentiment on these forums. I do like to visit London when I get the chance and have enough spare moolah to spend, although it's been a while since I was last there.
Eitherway, depending on the success the TVF meet-up in Manchester, there could be another meet-up later in the year in London for TVF members that live in London, or within easy travelling distance.
If it was me I'd go low key for the first one, as with all these sorts of things half the people who say they are going won't turn up, which might ruin plans for something more organised.
