Oops! I may have got this wrong then.
I thought their were regional opts cos there were TVam regional offices - but it may be that there were no regional opts until GMTV launched - as GMTV reached agreements with most ITV companies to provide local news. I guess the TVam regional offices may just have been news bureaux for their national newsgathering. (I am sure they were nothing to do with ITN)

I don't know but if my memory serves me correctly i 'think' there was a TV-AM studio on broad street, birmingham. I just remember going past a building on broad street when i was young and seeing a TV-AM sign.

TV-AM did not have any regional opt-outs. I don't even think that the advertising was regional either (not sure if it is on GMTV now)
They opened up regional offices around the country, but these were just for interviews from those towns/cities

TV-am did do regional opts at the General Election - 91 or 92 I cant remember, this was a 20 minute programme from your local ITV station - have a clip on tape somewhere.
TV-am didnt have anyother regional news, but they had regional automated / controlled office stroke studios. One was in the Bradford museum of Film Photography and Television. A very good visit and FREE!!!

GMTV definetly use regional advertising because I have seen ads for Scottish Gas and BT Scotland on GMTV. I think their system is the same LEMNUS system used by Channel 4 (London, East, Midlands, North, Ulster, Scotland)
