E4 and Sky One doing no delay with some programmes is going to cause some problems...

Ugly Betty s2e7: 8/11/2007 on ABC, 21/11/2007 on E4 = 13 days between.
Prison Break s3e8: 12/11/2007 on Fox, 26/11/2007 on Sky One = 14 days between.

I guess we're also hitting that time of year when they have to start planning and producing schedules that little bit earlier in preparation for Christmas too, which means we could see alot of late schedule changes in the forthcoming weeks.

It especially doesn't help that even with the taped episodes the US networks are considering taking the shows off-air even earlier and saving the remaining episodes for later in the season.

Could be... will be keeping an eye on US schedules to see if things change, but I only get 14 days' worth of listings through DigiGuide.

E4 was just 6 days behind last week with Ugly Betty but aren't showing an episode this week as Channel 4 are seemingly conceding a ratings defeat to Children In Need next Friday with 50 Greatest Comedy Sketches .

It's repeats until 19/11 when it's gone from More 4 altogether.

Here's a helpful explanation of the reasons why they're striking (yes, I nicked the link from today's b3ta email):

I can understand the strike affecting shows like Lettereman etc, but how does it affect stuff like Ugly Betty, i thought they film these shows well in advance?

No, often the shows with long runs, say 23 episodes are usually still filming whilst the earlier episodes are broadcasting. Hence why often the shows take breaks mid-season to allow for new episodes to be filmed.

Looks like the last episode of Ugly Betty to go out on E4 before Christmas will be s2e9 on 5/12, as it's just 6 days after ABC show it and then next week they show a repeat of the first episode.

Well doesn't look like this strike will come to an end anytime soon.

The same can't be said though for Bionic Woman, which along with Sky One's Journeyman is now reported to have been dealt a sharp blow with the axe.
