Odd they showed the 1969 Globe ident before That's Life, good to see Thames and Granada frontcaps before their repsective programmes. John Sargent also gave us an odd disclaimer before That's Life, ie. telling people that it was from 30 years ago and has nothing to do with the companies today.
Or in Not The 9 O'Clock News/That's Life style: "I'm Sorry this has got nothing to do with us"

I've no problem with that, it's removing the old idents to do so that I object to. I like to see things as they were originally. Same as collectors of old toys like to have the boxes with them.

Yeah, How dare they put their name on the end of a programme they own!?

That's fair enough I suppose.
The idents for ITV programmes were actually on the programmes because they appeared on all the other companies. BBC idents very rarely appear on the front of their programmes in their archive as they cut to or played out live before the programme.

Would it be a colour trade film?
Yup, it didn't say it was an Interlude, just looked like a bunch of Pelican style Birds not doing very much, with music to go in the background.
Edit: It's on again at 10.30pm, colourful music, though the birds are trying to fly, so that's a correction from the original post.
Also another clip of 'Newsday' with Angie Rippon again.
Ah, must have been BP's "Among the Pelicans" then! http://webfax.org.uk/602/
Would have thought they'd have shown a more memorable film such as "The home made car"

What was that albatross interlude? I had to leave the channel there, so I couldn't see it all. Brilliant episode of The Sweeney though!

The year I've been looking forward to most and I have to watch EastEnders with flipping commentary! Even John Sergeant said Press Red.
Football rules again!
To think the actress who played Ethel is still alive and is 94!
EDIT: Oh that was poor. Using the mid-ninties credit slide at the end of EastEnders!
