I knew it's owners had placed the channel 'under review' some time ago, plus they also started to show iBuy on TVTS 1 and 2 to go with it, so this meaning the channel didn't have long left. One of the ways they started to go wrong is when Flextech pulled out in favour of Thomas Cook TV.
But the channel was once a success story, it started the day after TCC closed, and within a few months it went from 12pm-5pm, from 6am-5pm then to 24 hours within a year, showing the popularity of the channel.
Shame as TVTS is better than iBuy.

Isn't too much of a surprise to be honest. Hardly anyone watched it. It seems like it's been on my digital services since I first got cable though!

Here on analogue in Milton Keynes, home to only 30 different presets on the decoder which includes three sports channels and three movie channels (!) TV Travel Shop slowly slipped away to give coverage to ibuy but currently the preset is home to price drop tv
price drop tv is the first new channel on analogue in MK since News 24 back in 1999! Yep, it took them two years after launch of News 24 for us to receive it here!

I also noticed that, when I am at my cousin's house, who still have NTL Analogue, I noticed that Ch15 has been replaced with Price Drop TV, although Challenge TV still appears after 5pm. The last new channel they added before that was ITV News, which replaced the Channel Guide thing. Even weirder is Ch27, which was Granada Plus, is now a screen with the NTL logo and some dodgy Radio station playing.
Value for money with NTL Analogue.

Indeed. what's worse for us in Milton Keynes is NTL not willing to go digital considering how "new" Milton Keynes is suppose to be. Originally BT offered the cable services going back to the 70's when ATV was part of the channel offerings but BT had to pull out when it was investing in Interactive services.
We keep getting junk mails through the post telling us what digital services there are but we can't get a thing from it! If a channel is not transmitting then up pops the powerpoint presentation slide with the local radio station playing in the background as you experienced when Granada Plus no longer transmitted.
When Granada Plus stopped transmitting for good that afternoon last year. We were treated to something like this...

...Although I don't have the Granada Plus grab to hand but it's pretty similar. Where the black is was the final frame from Granada Plus and we were treated this for two weeks!
The funny thing with NTL that I have experienced is that if anything goes wrong then it takes them to the next working day to fix anything so if anyone goes wrong Friday Night with a channel then it's off until Monday morning!
Going back to the channel which plays the radio on the powerpoint slide. Well one day, the PC that uses the powerpoint presentation managed to lock itself and we were treated to this on our telly!

All I have at home is the basic service of the five main channels, Sky One, News 24 and QVC and thats about £3 a month. I stopped subscribing to the entertainment package which is those 30 channels (minus the sport/movies) and back in 2001 that was £18 a month!
