Maybe. But they are amusing.

To you, maybe.

I find them amusing for their brazen honesty, good enough?

Well not to me, but to the "marksi, Inspector Sands et al" smart alec brigade they are probably trouser-wettingly funny.

Please 654321, would you SPELL CHECK your posts before you submit them? It's not as if you haven't been asked a million times.

On another thread, but worth quoting nevertheless, Having said that, I'm sure no "offense" was meant.

Don't bring me into this petty argument

On the first three white (more grey coloured now) rectangles at the top you had the L W T initials on them the 4th & 5th were blank. Can't remember if all for sides of the tower had them or not but the side that faced the thames used to

Good idea Jonny84, lets try and keep on topic, the LWT letters seems to have been removed rather well, quite a feat at that height

I visited the LWT buildings in 1986 to see a spitting image puppet exhibition,

excuse my ignorance but is this the studios where This Morning is broadcast from and if so did the big picture window in the studio exist before this morning started there?

Yes This Morning does come from the London Studios, I wish they had left it in Liverpool though.

Thanks for that Jez, I saw the old liverpool studio and map at the albert dock recently, the map looks damp and tatty and the 'studio' was an empty room. It was recently pressed into service for one of the pre election interviews with the party leaders.

incidentally the view from the liverpool studio was also used in the final opening credits to brookside.

Yes - that building was demolished a while back ISTR. The former Thames studios were based at both Euston Road and Teddington. The Teddington operation was bought by Barnes Media Trust, and operated at Teddington Studios, and is now owned by Pinewood studios AIUI, and still operated under the same name, although quite large chunks of the former Thames site have been sold off. The core studios - which are very popular for sit com production - remain.
Funny you should mention that, I was there last week to see Talkback's "The I.T. Crowd" being filmed.

I'll need to remember to get a pic of sit-up House, which I pass on the way to work.

They have 2 buildings, there's the one on the main road which is offices and one at the back of an industrial estate down the road. There was a building on the A40 near to Park Royal tube station coveredin Bid Up logos when they first launched too

Ah, I see - that would explain why the building on the Uxbridge Road (I presume sit-up House) has the shutters down at the weekends.

changing the subject and refering back to the big breakfast house photo it was taken on 5th may and appears on the 'bowlocks' website

The studio used for RI:SE v1.0 is at BSkyB HQ in Isleworth. The studio used for RI:SE v2.0, above the Whiteleys shopping
centre in West London, is now used for The Wright Stuff on five. Not sure if it's owned or leased by Princess Productions.

And speaking of the (former BIG Breakfast House, here's a couple of pics I took recently . . .
